The Beeswax Wrap Co. Solid Rewaxing Pennies - 12 Pack

Extend the life of your reusable beeswax food wraps with these Re-waxing Pennies from the Beeswax Wrap Co.

Handmade with a blend of British beeswax, Organic jojoba oil and pine resin, these 12 wax pennies can be easily rubbed on your old food wraps to refresh and rehydrate them. Alternatively, melt them into cotton fabrics of your choice to make your own wraps!

Each coin is small and plastic-free, but can extend the life of your wraps for up to a year. 12 pennies can refresh up to 12 old wraps (depending on size) or create 4 totally new ones.

Did you know, if a family of four (who use clingfilm to wrap four sandwiches every day) switched to using our beeswax wraps, they would save over 500 metres of cling film from going into landfills every year!

  • Includes 12 natural beeswax pennies
  • 1 penny can extend the life of your food wraps for up to a year
  • Plastic-free
  • Great for making your own food wraps

Size: Each penny = 4g

Instructions: Making A New Wrap -

Grab a tea towel and place a sheet of baking paper on it, followed by your piece of fabric. Add wax
pennies on top, 2-3 for a smaller piece of fabric (20 x 20cm) or 4-5 for a medium piece (30 x 30cm) – add more if your fabric is larger.

Cover with another large sheet of baking paper (sandwiching the wax pennies and cotton fabric) and, using an iron on medium heat, slowly move it over the pennies through the baking paper, melting them into the fabric underneath. Disperse the wax evenly by moving the iron across the fabric and into the corners.

Once you’ve finished, quickly peel the baking paper away from your new wrap whilst it’s still warm (the wax may still be hot so be careful!) then waft your wrap for 10 seconds until cool.
