Glückskäfer Six Felting Needles

Glückskäfer Needle Felting Needles - 6 Pack, Coarse, Medium & Fine

The Glückskäfer Six Felting Needles are a set of six barbed needles for dry needle felting, with two coarse, two medium and two fine needles. The different gauges let you work from the first stages of shaping wool right through to finer details and finishing.

Felting needles have tiny barbs along the shaft which catch the wool fibres as the needle is repeatedly pushed into them, gradually tangling and compacting the wool into a firm shape. Use them with carded wool or felting wool to create 3D figures, animals, decorations, ornaments, brooches, landscapes and pictures, or to add details and embellishment to existing felted work.

The coarse needles are useful when beginning a project and quickly shaping larger amounts of loose wool. Move onto the medium needles for general shaping and firming, then use the fine needles for smaller details and smoothing and refining the finished surface.

Needle felting is wonderfully flexible. Work in three dimensions to sculpt little characters and seasonal decorations, or felt onto a suitable base to create pictures, patterns and wool landscapes. The six-needle assortment is particularly useful for anyone starting out because you can experiment with different needle sizes and learn which works best at each stage of a project.

Use the needles with a proper felting mat, foam pad or felting brush underneath your work, keeping fingers clear of the needle path. They can also be used with the Glückskäfer wooden felting needle holders available separately at Babipur.

Includes 2 coarse, 2 medium and 2 fine felting needles.
