Bumbu Toys Wooden Pumpkin Mushrooms Set with Stand

Pumpkin faces on mushroom stalks! The Bumbu Toys Wooden Pumpkin Mushrooms Set includes three wooden mushroom characters and a display stand, ready for enchanted forests, spooky small world play, and Halloween displays. Their caps are cleverly painted orange with black jack-o’-lantern faces and little pale spots, turning mushrooms into Halloween pumpkins. Each has its own expression, with pale stems in varying heights.

Each mushroom has a little wooden peg beneath its stem that slots into the separate stand. Display them together, take them out for play, or press the pegs into play dough to create your own magical forest floor. The mushrooms need the stand or another support to stay upright.

There’s a lot of work behind these unusual characters. Made in Bumbu’s workshop in Bran, Romania, they’re hand-carved from sustainably sourced wood, shaped, polished, and painted using non-toxic, water-based colours. We love the imagination in Bumbu’s designs here at Babipur, and the traditional woodworking and painting skills that bring those little faces to life.

Gather them beneath the Watching Oak, let them guard a fairy cottage, or build a woodland scene with play cloths, wooden trees, and forest animals. Children can decide whether they’re friendly neighbours, mischievous mushrooms, or characters who only wake up after dark.

We do love Halloween at Babipur, but the amount of throwaway plastic that comes with it can be a bit frightening! These wooden mushrooms are something we’d want to keep and bring out each autumn. Arrange them among pumpkins for Halloween and Calan Gaeaf, beside a celebration ring, or leave them in the enchanted forest for more adventures after October.

About the wood

Each piece begins with a tree, and its grain, growth rings, knots, and darker markings can remain visible in the finished toy. These natural features, together with variations in colour and texture, give each piece its own character and a connection to the tree it came from. Natural wood markings are expected characteristics rather than faults, so as each tree and each toy is unique, your toy may look a little different from the photographs.
