Nic Toys Wooden Stacking, Nesting & Posting Cubes - 5 Piece Set
The Nic Toys Wooden Stacking & Nesting Cubes are a set of five colourful wooden cubes in graduating sizes for stacking, nesting, sorting, posting and open-ended play. Each hollow cube has an open side and a circular hole, giving children far more to explore than a standard set of nesting boxes.
For younger children, the play can be wonderfully simple. They can put things in and take them out, fill and empty the cubes, post suitable objects through the holes, tuck little cloths inside, hide treasures or nest the boxes together. These repeated actions are brilliant for hand-eye coordination, fine motor control, object permanence and the sort of filling, emptying and containing schema play that many toddlers naturally return to again and again.
The cubes can also be combined to create posting boxes with a removable inner cube, which makes them especially good for Montessori-inspired object permanence play. Drop a suitable object through the hole, let it disappear, then pull out the inner cube to find it again. We found the largest cube works beautifully with the Grimm’s and Grapat wooden balls we already had for play.
As children get older, the same five cubes can take on a completely different role. Add blocks, figures, animals, cars or loose parts and they become houses, garages, tunnels, towers, bridges and parts of much bigger constructions. They can be built into imaginative structures, combined with other wooden building toys and even used as part of ball runs and more complex engineering-style play.
That is one of the things we really like about a good open-ended toy: the play can change so much over time. What begins with putting things in, taking them out and stacking a few boxes can later become elaborate building, small-world play and increasingly ambitious constructions.

Here at Babipur we aim to despatch your orders quickly using Royal Mail, Parcelforce, GLS and other couriers. We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.
Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
