Wobbel Board Original Beech Wood | Wooden Balance Board for Active Play
The Wobbel Original Beech Wood Balance Board is a beautifully curved, FSC-certified wooden board designed to encourage movement, balance, and open-ended play. Choose from lacquered or Pure unlacquered beech without felt, or a lacquered board backed with natural wool felt or durable vegan EKO felt.
Inspired by traditional Waldorf arch boards, the Wobbel encourages rocking, climbing, strengthening, imaginative play, and free movement. Suitable from birth and strong enough for adults up to 200kg, it is a long-lasting movement toy that can grow with the whole family.
What is a Wobbel Board?
A Wobbel Board is a strong wooden curve that children instinctively find different ways to explore. They can stand, sit, lie down, and rock back and forth, developing balance, core strength, body awareness, and confidence through active play.
Turn it over and the Wobbel can become a bridge, tunnel, ramp, chair, step, shelter, or landscape for small-world play. With no prescribed way to use it, this versatile wooden balance board encourages children to experiment, move, and create at every stage of development.

Which Wobbel Original should I choose?
- Lacquered with no felt: A smooth, protective finish that is easy to wipe clean. Choose this option if you do not require a felt backing.
- Pure unlacquered with no felt: Natural, unfinished beech wood for customers who would like to apply their own suitable seal, stain, or paint. We strongly recommend sealing the Pure board to help protect it from moisture and stains.
- Lacquered with wool felt: A protective lacquered board backed with soft, natural wool felt in a choice of colours. The felt protects hard floors from scratches, reduces noise while rocking, and adds grip. Wool offers a beautifully soft and tactile natural finish.
- Lacquered with EKO felt (vegan): A durable vegan option made using recycled PET bottles. EKO felt protects hard floors from scratches, softens noise while rocking, and is extremely hard-wearing and easy to wipe clean. It contains no wool or other animal-derived fibres, making it suitable for vegan families.
Both felt options are particularly suited to wooden, tiled, and laminate floors.
Materials and construction
Each Wobbel Original is made from layers of European FSC-certified beech wood, pressed under high pressure to form its strong and recognisable curve. The boards are produced in Belgium and finished in the Netherlands using safe, durable materials.

Age, safety, and use
- Always supervise babies and young children.
- Only one child should rock on the board at a time.
- Keep fingers and toes away from the edges while rocking.
- Place the Wobbel on a flat, even surface with at least two metres of clear space around it.
- Bare feet or non-slip footwear are recommended. Avoid playing in socks or footwear with smooth soles.
The Wobbel is designed for indoor use. Occasional outdoor use may increase wear over time.

Here at Babipur we aim to despatch your orders quickly using Royal Mail, Parcelforce, GLS and other couriers. We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.
Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
