The Little Green Radicals Red Ankle Wellington Boots are a pair of red natural rubber wellies with red soles and lining. 100% waterproof with gripped soles, these classic ankle-length boots are comfy and supportive even on uneven ground. 

With a wide toe box and extra flexible soles to support natural movement, these boots are foot-friendly, for lasting comfort and perfect for long walks. Designed for wear in any weather, these kids' wellington boots have a warm 85% YULEX® foam lining (no neoprene here!), which is made from renewable and plant-based PEFC & FSC certified natural rubber to ensure it's Deforestation-Free. The outer is made of 90% Fair Trade Natural Rubber, tapped in Sri Lanka in a way that protects the tree's natural life cycle, and 10% Synthetic Rubber. The tab at the back makes them easy to pull on and off to support children's growing independence. 

These Little Green Radicals natural rubber wellingtons arrive in an organic and fair trade cotton drawstring bag. This bag features an adorable 'Step into your next adventure' slogan with a rubber tree design on one side, and on the other side is a fun infographic that details the process of making your natural rubber boots. Perfect for educating kids on the process of making the things that they wear, as well as being a super practical bag for every day use, such as a PE bag.

  • No neoprene here! The soft lining is made with YULEX® foam which is renewable, plant-based PEFC & FSC certified natural rubber to ensure it's Deforestation-Free. Plus it uses 80% less carbon emissions compared to synthetic rubbers
  • The natural rubber used for the outer layer is tapped in Sri Lanka under Fair Trade conditions by Fair Rubber, which guarantees good working and living conditions for the primary producers of natural latex. The natural rubber is tapped in a way that ensures the tree's natural life cycle (around 20-30 grams are tapped from each tree every day)

Fair Rubber Association

Natural rubber is often characterised with ecological and in some cases severe social problems. Studies document cases of extremely poor working conditions; typical problems include inadequate safety standards, inappropriate use of toxic chemicals, discrimination, excessive working hours and child labour. This is why LGR pay a Fair Trade premium to the Fair Rubber Association to ensure that the rubber they use in these wellies is farmed under fair trade conditions, and supports the workers that produce it. LGR specifically source their rubber from a supplier partner in Sri Lanka, which guarantees good working and living conditions for the primary producers of natural latex. The natural rubber is tapped in a way that ensures the tree's natural life cycle (around 20-30 grams are tapped from each tree every day).

YULEX® Lining

Yulex pioneered the first ever FSC-certified natural rubber into the supply chain for consumer brands, and are now introducing PEFC-certified supply chains. This deforestation-free rubber is renewable and biodegradable.

Made from Fairtrade certified cotton, which guarantees a fair and stable price for the crop, and 100% organic which is safer for farmers, using less water than conventionally grown cotton which is better for the environment. Each clothing item is packaged in a plastic-free, compostable plant-based bag.
