The Nic Toys Rattle’n’Roll is a colourful wooden rattle roller filled with little wooden balls that gently cascade from one end to the other as it is turned over. Watch the balls tumble slowly through the centre and listen to the soft rattling sound they make as they reach the bottom, then turn it over and start all over again.

There is something really lovely about the slow movement and gentle sound of this toy. Babies can watch the coloured balls disappear through the internal openings and reappear further down, encouraging visual tracking, concentration and early cause-and-effect play. Turn it one way and the balls fall down, turn it back and they do it again.

It is also wonderfully tactile. Babies can hold, turn and investigate the chunky wooden cylinder, exploring movement, sound and sight together. As they begin to understand that their own actions make the balls move and rattle, there is plenty of motivation to repeat the action for themselves.
