Patagonia Women's Downdrift Parka Jacket - Basin Green

Patagonia's Downdrift Parka Jacket is a longer-length winter coat designed for full coverage warmth in cold, wet weather. Insulated with 100% recycled down, it's made for all your winter activities, whether you're commuting, walking the dog, or heading out for weekend adventures. The outer is made from NetPlus® 100% postconsumer recycled nylon, created from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution.

This Basin Green down parka is insulated with 600 fill-power traceable 100% recycled duck and goose down, delivering dependable warmth without unnecessary bulk. The outer fabric is finished with a durable water repellent coating made without intentionally added PFAS, helping to shed light rain and drizzle while staying breathable and comfortable all day.

Designed to keep the cold out, the Downdrift Parka features a tall zip-through collar and a two-way front zip with a windproof metal snap placket closure for extra protection in harsh weather. The hood is removable and includes a hidden adjustment cord for a secure, comfortable fit. Storage is practical and generous, with two deep double-entry pockets for warming hands and carrying essentials, plus an internal zippered chest pocket for valuables.

FAQs

What is Fill-power? In a down insulated jacket, the fill power determines the fluffiness, or loft of the down. The higher the fill power, the more air is trapped around your body, keeping you warm and providing a better warmth-to-weight ratio. The higher the fill power, the more volume it takes up per gram in weight and the more compressible, making it a better quality for technical down-filled jackets.

What is recycled down? Patagonia uses goose and duck down reclaimed from cushions, bedding and other used items that can’t be resold, helping to reduce waste that would otherwise go to landfill. All their recycled down is certified by the Responsible Down Standard, which provides on-site auditing to ensure humane animal-welfare practices and high standards for the animals’ well-being.

Solid shell: Coated 4-ply, 4.2-oz NetPlus® 100% postconsumer recycled nylon faille made from recycled fishing nets to help reduce ocean plastic pollution; with a PFC-free DWR finish (durable water repellent coating that does not contain perfluorinated chemicals)

Lining: 2.2-oz 100% recycled polyester taffeta with a HeiQ® Eco Dry PFC-free DWR finish

Insulation: 600-fill-power 100% Recycled Down (duck and goose down reclaimed from down products).
