This Binchotan charcoal stick and stainless steel coil are compatible with any container that has an opening of at least 30mm, making it ideal for use with your own bottles or as a replacement for a lost or broken coil from the Eau Good range.

Using traditional Japanese Binchotan charcoal methods, this filter naturally removes chlorine, softens tap water and adds minerals like magnesium and iron to improve flavour and quality. Each stick filters up to 1.1L of water per day for 3 months, and can be recharged once by boiling for 10 minutes and allowing to dry, giving you a total lifespan of up to 6 months.

The charcoal is made from sustainably sourced natural hardwood that is carbonised at extremely high temperatures and then rapidly cooled to form a dense, porous structure ideal for water filtration. The stainless steel coil is designed to hold the stick securely in place inside your bottle. Both components are BPA free and plastic free, and the charcoal is vacuum packed and pre-washed for immediate use.

Roughly 1.1L of water daily for up to 3 months. If you're using a larger jug or bottle, you can add more sticks as needed.

Can I use it in any bottle?
Yes, as long as the bottle or jug has an opening of 30mm or wider. This makes it compatible with most standard reusable bottles and water containers.

Can I use it with flavoured or infused water?
No. Binchotan charcoal should only be used with plain tap water. Fruit, tea or herbal infusions may interfere with the filtration process.

Is the charcoal safe if swallowed?
