In the Land of Elves, Daniela Drescher invites children to follow the lives of forest elves as the seasons change from spring through to winter. Young elves rush outside to greet the first warm breaths of spring, gather fruits and nuts when autumn arrives, and help woodland birds find food during snowy winter days. Along the way they watch shooting stars beneath the night sky and share their woodland home with robins, field mice, and other forest creatures.
The story gently follows the seasonal rhythms of life in the woodland, offering a glimpse into the elves’ magical world. Each page reflects the natural cycles that shape the year.
Every illustration in this large picture book was hand painted by Daniela Drescher using watercolour and ink. Her artwork blends delicate realism in animals and plants with flowing, dreamlike landscapes, filling each page with harmonious colour and intricate details for children to discover again and again.
Inspired by Waldorf storytelling traditions, the book encourages children to notice seasonal changes, appreciate nature, and immerse themselves in imaginative worlds.
About the Author
Daniela Drescher is an internationally acclaimed author and illustrator from Munich, Germany. Before becoming a children’s book creator she worked for ten years as a children’s painting and drawing therapist, often using her own poetry in her therapeutic work. Today she is the author and illustrator of more than 30 children's books. Inspired by nature and the magical worlds she imagined as a child, Daniela Drescher continues to bring her fairies, elves, and other tiny woodland beings to life through her delicate watercolour illustrations.

Here at Babipur we aim to despatch your orders quickly using Royal Mail, Parcelforce, GLS and other couriers. We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.
Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
