In the Land of Mermaids, Daniela Drescher invites children to explore the flowing world of merfolk and water spirits as the seasons change along the riverbanks. Mermaids glide through the water beside fish and newts, while graceful water nymphs fill golden goblets from clear woodland pools. On warm days the mermaids rest in the shade or drift peacefully on floating lily pads, and little birds gather nearby to drink from the water.
Every illustration in this large picture book was hand painted by Daniela Drescher using watercolour and ink. Her flowing artwork fills each page with rich colour and delicate movement, where shimmering mermaid tails, blue robed water nymphs, and lively river creatures appear within lush natural landscapes.
Inspired by Waldorf storytelling traditions, the book celebrates imagination, seasonal rhythms, and the quiet beauty of the natural world.
About the Author
Daniela Drescher is an internationally acclaimed author and illustrator from Munich, Germany. Before becoming a children’s book creator she worked for ten years as a children’s painting and drawing therapist, often using her own poetry in her therapeutic work. Today she is the author and illustrator of more than 30 children's books. Inspired by nature and the magical worlds she imagined as a child, Daniela Drescher continues to bring her fairies, elves, mermaids, and other tiny beings to life through her delicate watercolour illustrations.

Here at Babipur we aim to despatch your orders quickly using Royal Mail, Parcelforce, GLS and other couriers. We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.
Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
