I bought this as a school coat for my child who has a congenital cardiac defect… he gets cold quickly. The added fleece layer helps to keep him toasty and the colourful buttons will bring joy to the playground and for me as I do them up each morning!! We bought this because it does pretty much everything you want a coat to do, and layers can be customised based on outdoor temperature. My kid loves the secret pockets! It's also great that it is adjustable. However, don't size up if you have a smaller kid. I got my petite 4yo a size 5-6yo and it is just about wearable. I think it will fit him until he's probably 8! All in all, fantastic quality, I am sure it will last many years and potentially younger brother too.

Needed waterproof and warm coat that wasn't so long that kid couldn't cycle in it. This is perfect. Got completely covered in mud day 1. Using with the arms shortened, there's plenty of room for a jumper underneath.

We bought this coat for our daughter and it lasted a couple of seasons -- she is small for age but we still think the sizing is off -- she was wearing size 1-2 years at 3 years+. Now that we know how the sizing works, and because we love it so much, we ordered the next size up. It's very thoughtfully constructed -- great hidden pocket and optional fleece vest and more great design elements. It's been warm enough for New England winters and will definitely be a valued hand-me-down.

I really like this 3 in 1 rambler coat. This has been purchased as a school coat to be used through the change in seasons and so far I have been very impressed with it. During the autumn weather the coat has been warm enough without the removable fleece. However , I have no doubt that the coat will be warm enough in the winter with the added fleece. I love the bonus feature of adjustable sleeves. And so far this has kept us warm and dry when we have got caught in the rain. Fab coat. I would buy this again.
