The Wobbel Original Beech Wood Balance Board without felt is a curved FSC beech wood board designed for children and adults to enjoy movement, balance, and open-ended play. Inspired by traditional Waldorf arch boards, the Wobbel Board encourages rocking, strengthening, imaginative play, and free movement for every age. Suitable from birth and strong enough for grown-ups up to 200kg, this is a long-lasting, heirloom-quality toy that grows with your family.

What is a Wobbel Board?

A Wobbel Board is a high-strength wooden curve that children instinctively know how to use. The first thing they want to do is rock. Standing, sitting, lying down, and tipping back and forth builds balance, core strength, body awareness, and confidence. Beyond rocking, children turn the Wobbel into bridges, tunnels, chairs, steps, ramps, shelters, and part of their small-world setups. It invites open-ended, imaginative play and adapts to different stages of development.

This felt-free Wobbel Original is available in two finishes:

• Lacquered beech for a protective, easy-clean surface
• Pure (unlacquered) beech for those wishing to apply their own seal, stain, or paint

If you choose the Pure board, we strongly recommend applying a sealant to protect against moisture and stains.

Materials & Construction

Each Wobbel is made from layers of European FSC certified beech wood pressed under high pressure to create the iconic curve. The boards are produced in Belgium and finished in the Netherlands using safe, durable materials. With a weight limit of 200kg, the Wobbel Original offers exceptional strength and stability for both children and adults.

Age, Safety & Use

The Wobbel Original is suitable from 0+ months and for all ages above. For safe and confident play:

• Always supervise young children
• Allow one child to rock at a time
• Keep fingers and toes clear of the edges
• Use on a flat, even surface with at least 2m of clear space
• Bare feet or non-slip shoes are recommended
• Avoid socks or smooth soles to prevent slipping
• The Wobbel is designed for indoor use. It may be used outdoors occasionally, but this will increase wear over time.
