Instructions for use:

• 1. Wash in fresh, running water - with no detergent - to remove powder from the filters.
• 2. Sterilise them by boiling in water for 10 minutes and remove to cool and dry.
• 3. Pop all four filters into a litre jug and fill with tap water.
• 4.Leave to work for 8 hours or more, either in the fridge or on the side, before drinking.
• 5. Re-sterilise the filters weekly by boiling for 10 minutes and cooling.
• 6. Replace the charcoal filters every two months.

After two months' use, dry your filters in the sun and use throughout your home for another 6 to 12 months to regulate moisture, keep food fresh, halt mould growth and reduce odour. Pop into damp corners, your fruit bowl or bread bin, by the loo or in a laundry room. When they finally come to the end of their life, recycle with your food or garden waste or use in the garden. Crumbled charcoal filters will help to aerate the soil, absorb excess moisture in heavy rain and release it in dry spells.
