Sixteen drawing tools in eight harmonious colours, combining Stockmar Wax Blocks and matching Wax Stick Crayons in one carefully balanced set. Each colour appears in both block and stick form, allowing children to explore how different tools influence line, surface and expression.
Inspired by Goethe’s colour harmony and long associated with Waldorf education, this combination set offers a practical way to experience both broad colour blending and refined detail within the same palette. Opening the tin reveals the natural, warm aroma of beeswax, a sensory reminder of the material at the heart of each crayon and block.
Two Shapes, One Colour Language
Stockmar wax block crayons are ideal for covering larger areas of colour. Their flat sides and edges encourage generous application, smooth blending and layered colour transitions.
The stick crayons offer more controlled line work and can be sharpened using a wide crayon sharpener. They allow detail, outlines and refined accents to be added once broader colour areas have been established. Used together, they demonstrate how surface and line can work in harmony, an approach often seen in Waldorf-inspired art lessons.
Techniques & Creative Exploration
Both blocks and sticks can be layered so that colours beneath shimmer through those applied above, creating optical colour mixing and subtle tonal variation. Each set includes a scraping tool, allowing children to create hatched textures, etched lines and reveal contrasting colours layered underneath.
Stockmar wax colours are water-resistant, making them suitable for use alongside watercolour paints to create resist effects.

Here at Babipur we aim to despatch your orders quickly using Royal Mail, Parcelforce, GLS and other couriers. We pack orders Monday to Saturday, if you need an express delivery option we recommend ordering before 1pm for next working day delivery. Tracking details will be sent to you by email or text.
Returns
If something isn't as expected, doesn't fit, or it's simply not right for you, just return it to us within 60 days of delivery for a no quibble refund. We do ask that items are returned in unused condition if you've simply changed your mind. If you have a faulty or damaged item please get in touch, return it to us for a refund or replacement and we'll cover the return costs.
