Triclimb Wooden Climbing Triangle | Blue Rungs

Finished in two shades of blue painted rungs on both sides.

Triclimb - the original premium Pikler-style wooden climbing triangle for babies, toddlers, and young children. Designed to inspire confidence and gross motor development at a self-determined pace.

Created by Christine Dunford, combining outstanding design, build quality and attention to detail. Triclimb adheres to the principles of Dr. Emmi Pikler while meeting rigorous worldwide toy safety standards. Triclimb represents the best of this type of play equipment, safe, strong, and designed for real family life.

Suitable from birth, Triclimb can be used as a baby gym to support early sensory exploration. As babies grow, they use the frame to pull up, reach, and grasp the rungs, developing strength, balance, and coordination. With growing confidence, they begin to climb and eventually reach the top. Add a blanket to transform Triclimb into a cosy den or reading nook and simply fold flat for compact storage.

Safety: Independently tested to meet European, UK, USA, and global safety standards, both as a standalone frame and with accessories. Triclimb is one of the few Pikler-style triangles that meets these worldwide benchmarks, safety is never an afterthought.

Quality: Made in Wales & Italy from marine-grade FSC/PEFC-certified birch plywood and finished with water-based lacquer and paint. Every design choice is made for longevity and sustainability, a play companion to cherish and pass on.

Self-Supporting Frame: The solid frame requires no screws or fixings for stability. Safety thumb screws simply lock it in either the open or closed position for peace of mind.

100Kg weight limit: A remarkably strong yet lightweight design. Tested to hold up to 100Kg both as a standalone frame and with the Miri slide attached. Those distinctive outrigger feet provide extra stability and high-angle tipping resistance.

Power Grip: Each 26mm-diameter rung is engineered to support an effective “power grip,” giving children the confidence to lift, balance, and climb safely.

The Young Victoria & Albert Museum:  Triclimb is featured in the Young V&A Museum (accession no. B.9-2024), celebrated as an iconic toy that encourages free play and early years development.

Longevity: Once children are confidently climbing over their Triclimb, we recommend the addition of a Miri slide. The Miri slide attaches securely to Triclimb without the use of tools to make a climbing ramp, a slide and a play surface.

The Pikler Triangle

The origins of the Pikler Triangle trace back to Emmi Pikler a Hungarian Paediatrician who pioneered theories on child development in the 1930/40s. Centered around a respectful relationship between infant and parent as well as natural progression of motor development through free movement and play. Emmi Pikler believed it was important to offer children the opportunities to move naturally according to their inherent ability.

By having your Triclimb in situ and allowing your baby to have access to it, they can begin to climb and and grow in confidence naturally, safely, and joyfully.

Not a fan

I really wanted to love this but I'm afraid to say my 2.5 year old barely uses it as a climbing frame and more as a tiny den (on its side because it's too low for her to sit up straight under it.....she's average height for her age), and even then she still prefers the much larger den/slide we make out of our corner sofa. The painting isnt the best but perhaps it's supposed to look that way? The screws that stop the Triclimb from folding have to be removed all the way before you can close it and then screwed all the way back in again when you store it, which just seems a bit too basic for the price. All in all, compared to all of things I've purchased from Babipur, this has been my only regret, which is a real shame because all the other reviews made it seem like this was the best thing in the world and I sadly can't agree on this occasion.

Great fun!

I brought 2 of these triclimbs for my 3 1/2 year old and my 2 year old, they are great!
The triclimbs had to be built by myself, simple enough but hard work for the wrists, very sturdy, myself and my husband have both tried them out and they stayed up! Lol.
The colour is lovely although a bit wishy washy in places but doesn’t take away from the appeal.
They fold down easily and tidily and slide behind our sofa out of view.

Worth every penny

If you’re reading this because your kid is climbing all over everything and anything then YOU NEED TO BUY THIS. We took the plunge for our boy’s first birthday at 9months, being driven mad by him climbing and pulling up on everything. It has honestly been the best thing we have ever bought him. Within a few days of having it he was starting to practice standing unaided with it, and by 10months he was able to climb to the first rung. It’s amazing watching him figure it out and practice his new skills. We also had a friend visit with her 3 year old and he spent the entire time climbing over it, telling his mum he wanted to take it home. I don’t doubt this is going to do the distance. Amazing for development, and looks great too. Just do it! Love love love.

Triclimb - Pikler Triangle

Peter and Jolene were always getting asked when they were going to stock a Pikler style climbing frame, and so after searching high and low and not finding one that met their standards, they started the journey to find a designer who could bring a modern version of the Pikler triangle to life. The origins of the Pikler triangle climbing frame come from Emmi Pikler a Hungarian Paediatrician who pioneered theories on child development in the 1930/40s. Centered around a respectful relationship between infant and parent as well as natural progression of motor development through free movement and play. Emmi Pikler believed it was important to offer children the opportunities to move naturally according to their inherent ability.

Endless Possibilities

Endless Possibilities

A classic climbing triangle with a modern twist. Its primary function is to aid climbing and encourage movement in young children but Triclimb is so much more than that. Triclimb features a wonderfully simple but Innovative design which gives it a graphical purity both when poised and ready for play or when folded for storage. An open ended developmental toy that’s not just for climbing, simultaneously encouraging play, movement and expression.
