Peter and Jolene Barton founded family business Babi Pur in 2007, when they returned to live in Jolene’s native home in North Wales after the birth of their first daughter.
The couple noticed a gap in the market for ethically sourced, good quality baby wear and accessories, and so Babi Pur (“Pure Baby”) was born. From small beginnings the company has grown successfully, and is now one of the leading online retailers of ethical baby goods.
The issues of Fairtrade, fair pay and abolishing child labour are all important to the company and they pride themselves on ensuring all items sold meet strict fair trade and environmental requirements. Their ethos is on supplying good quality, organic and fairly-traded item for babies and their parents. The company are proud to be based in Snowdonia, and strive to source locally made clothes and crafts that fit with the Babi Pur ethos.
