Egg Dyeing Guide for Easter

Easter is a wonderful time for families to get together and participate in fun traditions. One of the most beloved Easter traditions is dyeing eggs. And with the OkoNorm Egg Dye Kit from Babipur, you can make this activity even more special by using natural dyes that are safe to eat and won't harm the planet.

The OkoNorm Egg Dye Kit comes with five different colours - red, yellow, green, orange and pink - that are made from natural food colours like curcumin, chlorophyllin and cochineal. The dye is gluten-free and does not contain any harmful chemicals. Each colour sachet is designed to dye around 5-7 eggs, so you can easily dye a dozen eggs or more with just one kit.

How to use an OkoNorm Egg Dye Kit

1. Simply pour 750ml of cold water into a stainless steel saucepan and add one dye sachet. Make sure to avoid using enamel pans as they can be stained by the dye.
2. Place 5-7 eggs in the saucepan, making sure they are fully covered by the water.
3. Bring the water to a boil, stir the dye and let it boil for 7-10 minutes.
4. Once the eggs are done, remove them from the pan and set the colour by running them under cold water.

Get Creative with Crayons!

If you want to add some extra creativity to your egg dyeing session, try using a crayon to draw swirly, zigzag or stripy patterns on the eggs before dyeing them. You can also experiment with different shades by leaving the eggs in the dye for longer or using more or less dye sachets.

The natural pigments in the eggshell may result in slightly different shades for each egg, making each one unique and special. And once the eggs are dyed, you can enjoy them as a colourful and healthy snack.
