Each piece is hand-dipped in child safe, non-toxic neon paint in a new glaze technology developed by Grimm's. Please note that knots, patterns and rich grain colours are part of the natural beauty of the wood and are normal and treasured features of Grimm's toys.  Each Neon Rainbow is cut from a single block of wood and you will often see the same features continuing through the various rainbow pieces. This means that no two rainbows are the same and your won't get a perfect fit between the arches of two individual rainbows. A non-toxic, water based stain is used to colour the product which does not cover features within the wood. While the famous Grimm's 12 piece rainbow is made from the lower part of the Lime tree, these slightly smaller 10 piece rainbows are made from higher parts as the tree tapers upwards.
